A Pre-Fall Wishlist

As summer starts to fade and the first cool breezes of fall roll in, it’s the perfect time to refresh your wardrobe with a few key investment pieces that work now and later. Think crisp shirting that layers effortlessly, suede accessories that bring warmth to your summer whites, and a few polished jewelry staples that instantly elevate any look. I’m also sharing my favorite tools that make doing your hair 10x easier—because a great outfit deserves a great finish. These transitional essentials will carry you stylishly into the new season with minimal effort and maximum impact.

Shirting - Whether we're talking shirt dresses or button ups, I love leaning on crisp shirting styles for the transitional months. The dress I'm wearing above is such a versatile number - pair with a straw bag as I did in Maine for a summer getaway, then swap in an equestrian-inspired bag and knee-high boots for fall. This shirt by the same brand is so chic - I love the roomy cut that looks just right with my favorite jeans (Jeans are 15% off with "Stacie15"), and the sleeves that are "pre-rolled" to the elbow. Barn Jackets - That first cool breeze has me reaching for a lightweight jacket to throw on for morning walks and sunsets on our dock. The way I ordered this striped barn jacket SO FAST - it looks like Ralph Lauren for half the price. A few other affordable favorites include this clean khaki version, this classic olive one, this navy version, and this denim popover that feels just right for late summer lake weekends.

Silk - This silk wrap dress is at the top of my wishlist, or opt for the blouse or skirt in the same gorgeous print. I'm also eyeing this simple bias cut dress in burgundy, which gets rave reviews and looks great on it's own with heels now, then layer a chunky turtleneck over it in late fall. Silk scarves are an elegant way to add a bit of lux texture to your look, and I love this neutral floral scarf and this chain-print! I love a white silk blouse for pairing with skirts and layering under blazers, two favorites include this and this!

Suede - Transition your white sundress or cream knit top into fall by pairing it with pretty suede accessories. A few favorites that caught my eye include this hobo bag from Tory Burch, this bucket bag (on major sale!) and this smart little clutch!

Heels - As autumn approaches I find my outfits get a touch more elegant, and I reach for heels more. I own these suede pumps in 6 colors, they're just that good. I also just snagged these woven leather heels (especially chic with wide leg trousers), I'm eyeing these gorgeous block-heel sandals (block heels are big for fall), and love this transitional brown and white floral slingback!

Sneakers - With stroller walks as a regular feature of my routine I've been getting into sneakers. Two favorites that will transition into fall beautifully include these oxblood suede sneakers (when my mom saw them she tried to steal them from me!) and these olive woven sambas which are selling fast (size down one whole size)!

Jewelry - Classic everyday jewelry upgrades any outfit, and the best pieces look equally appropriate paired with a swimsuit as they do an evening gown. A few pieces I've been wearing on repeat include this diamond heart necklace, these pearl studs with a fun gold accent (such a nice price!) as well as my Dorsey white saphire tennis bracelet. I especially love how tennis bracelets look just right with any outfit, and have been eyeing this petite diamond bracelet as the next addition to my jewelry box.

The right underthings - Nothing ruins an outfit like visible bra straps or panty lines. I've been reaching for this stick on bra to wear under summer dresses, and finally found affordable organic cotton thongs and undies I actually like. Finally!! (I like to size up.)

Better hair - I'm looking forward to saying goodbye to summer humidity, but this T3 "airbrush" which helps me get blowout results at home has made the summer hair battle so much better. It deserves a full review since it's so amazing (I own two dyson airwraps and prefer the T3!) but wanted to share it here since it's currently 35% off! I just snagged this T3 flatiron on sale to replace my Walgreens Revlon flatiron but haven't used it yet so will report back with my thoughts! (Love that it's universal voltage though, so I can take it on my travels!)
