This summer we returned to Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, for another weekend with Sarah Flint and her family at Mishaum Point. Last year we came with babies—this year they were proper toddlers, chasing each other around the yard and keeping us all on our toes. The days slipped into that easy New England rhythm we love: mornings at the beach, afternoons gathering vegetables from the community garden for dinner, and evenings filled with good food and even better company.
We revisited so many of our favorite local spots Sarah had shown us last year—fresh eggs from King’s Farm Stand, a stop at Duvall’s for salt water taffy and sandwiches, and wading at Barney’s Joy Beach. Lunch at Farm & Coast was as delicious as ever, the perfect break from the sun before heading back home. Mishaum’s shingle-clad homes, sandy porches, and salt-tinged breezes set the stage for another round of simple summer pleasures—fresh garden harvests, pink sunset skies, and playing tag on the lawn. I packed a bunch of shoes, but ended up wearing these raffia slides (on sale!) the whole time. A chic yet effortless style perfect for laid back days by the water.
Thank you Sarah and Sean for sharing this beautiful corner of New England with us!
