Daily seasonal styles to inspire your own timeless wardrobe

Early Summer Swim Edit

As summer kicks off and the days stretch longer, I’ve been refreshing my swim drawer with a few standout styles that are equal parts chic and functional. Whether you're heading to the beach, lounging poolside, or planning a getaway, the right swimsuit can instantly elevate your summer mood. From timeless one-pieces to playful bikinis and breezy cover-ups, here are the new swim styles I'm loving this season. (Both for women and some of my favorites for baby boys as well!)

  • I can't say enough good things about this paisley swimsuit and coordinating pareo, especially since both are on sale for less than $110 when bought together! The vibrant blue and white paisley pattern feels right everywhere - from preppy Americana enclaves in New England to a pool in Puglia! It reminds me of one of my favorite Etro swimsuits for a fraction of the price.
  • I got this plaid smocked swimsuit several months ago when it first launched and I'm so excited to wear it all summer. The preppy plaid is full of beautiful colors (photo below) and the scoop back is very flattering. Wear this white linen shirtdress, open, as a coverup.
  • I love a big bow on a swimsuit, and this one-shoulder style, and this wrap-waist version are two elegant takes on the look.
  • One of my favorite swimsuits of all time (I have it in a handful of colors), the Eres U Bandeau is perfect - the most flattering neckline. You'll pack this suit with you for every trip! (Get a similar U neckline for less here!)
  • Nothing says summer fun like Pucci - I love this tank-style suit's happy print.
  • The halter neckline of this pink suit is perfect when you want to take a break from getting sun on your chest. (Pair with this pink pareo.)
  • I finally tried this cult favorite "sidestroke" swimsuit and wow it's good. I love the one-shoulder styling and slimming wrap-around seams. Pair with these gorgeous marine print trousers for a lunch by the pool (see my trousers here.)
  • This dreamy blue and white swimsuit + pareo pairing is splurgey but something you'll love for years to come.
  • Pair this striped tank suit with this pareo for a great high-low mix.
  • This navy one shoulder suit is so elegant and the hardware is subtly nautical. Pair with these pants for a chic "I summer in Newport" look.
  • This gingham high-waisted bikini (bottoms here) is ready for July 4th festivities. I'd throw on a tunic dress like this for a fully patriotic look.
  • A red swimsuit is a summer staple, a few of my favorites include this, this, and this!
  • I love this sunny yellow twist-bandeau top (bottoms here) with this statement pareo.
  • I have tried a couple different swimwear brands for our baby boy, and Minnow's "boardies" are by far our most-used style for him (I usually size up). Offered in a rainbow of colors, we own and love these and these as seen in this post, as well as this rashguard and this sun hat. I just ordered this and this from their new Americana collection for July 4th and beyond!
